Are you a passionate information management professional? We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Information Management Specialist at Perth Head Office, on a permanent basis.


About this role

As the Senior Information Management Specialist, you will be required to:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and support strategies, systems and practices which facilitate enterprise-wide compliance with the requirements of the State Records Act 2000 and subsequent standards and principles arising from the Act, and other relevant legislative information management obligations. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on all Western Power information management requirements and to proactively develop and facilitate implementation of a culture of high-quality information, knowledge and information management capability and practice across Western Power and mitigate risk.
  • Conduct extensive searches of Western Power databases for the retrieval of relevant information in response to freedom of information requests, legal discovery applications, internal investigations and requests from external regulators or bodies.
  • Guide and advise the business regarding information management obligations and contemporary practice, and provide support to the Information Compliance Team Leader and Corporate Compliance Manager in the execution of information management deliverables as required.
  • Regularly review the Western Power Recordkeeping Plan and other relevant company documents in line with legislative requirements ensuring business requirements are clearly articulated.

 

About you

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • A diploma, degree or relevant accreditation in information management or equivalent.
  • A seasoned professional with demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, all aspects of information management including strong experience with electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS).
  • The ability to build and sustain lasting working and collaborative relationships with a network of key internal and external stakeholders and clients.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of current information management legislative requirements, relevant standards, Government regulations, issues, and directives.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage time and resources through prioritisation and preparation of tasks and leveraging of resources and schedules to ensure work is completed efficiently, often managing competing deadlines and priorities across high volume, concurrent activities.
  • A high level of customer service awareness; through demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, develop service strategies, and provide improved customer service to business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and negotiate performance outcomes, plan activities and set priorities to achieve business objectives and deadlines.
  • Project experience desirable (but not essential).
