About this role

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Organisation Design & Effectiveness Consultant within our People business unit who will play a key role in the delivery of the Operational Excellence Program across the Business Unit.

 

Western Power employ a range of specialty enterprise skills across all parts of our network. Our People Business Unit plays a key role in ensuring that Western Power has the workforce it needs to tackle not only our current network needs, but to also be ready to handle WA's evolving future energy landscape. The Operational Excellence Program is designing new ways of working to support our dedicated teams to meet the challenges now and of the future.

 

This is a full time 12-month fixed term position based at our Perth office.

 

As the Senior Organisation Design & Effectiveness Consultant you will be required to:

 

  • Design and deliver subject matter related frameworks and initiatives in consultation project team and Steering Committee
  • Provide subject matter expert advice, counsel and guidance to the Operational Excellence project,
  • Lead the design, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of fit for purpose people and organisational systems and solutions including organisational design (including operating models, work design and organisational culture), organisational development, talent management, strategic workforce planning, learning and development and diversity and inclusion
  • Identify, develop and review opportunities to introduce innovative or more efficient methods or systems in collaboration with the broader team and function
  • Work with the business to understand what the needs are and ensure the right tools are designed, developed and implemented to achieve the people and organisational objectives, both now and in the future
  • Works as an integral part of a professional team, ensuring that your own activities are coordinated with others as required
  • Provide contemporary best practice advice and guidance as required

 

About you

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Extensive and demonstrated level of knowledge and expertise in any specialist area, including contemporary organisational effectiveness, organisational design,  learning, leadership development and talent management knowledge and skills
  • Extensive experience working within a contemporary Human Resources environment in designing, developing and delivering business wide initiatives and activities
  • Advanced change management / stakeholder engagement experience and skills
  • Strong consulting and influencing skills where the interaction with others is primarily concerned with influencing, developing and motivating people and changing behaviour.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, facilitation, and organisational skills
  • Strong focus on meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Experience working directly with key business stakeholders, including management at all levels
  • Experience of transformational projects is considered advantageous but not essential
