Senior Regulatory Change Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Change Specialist for our Regulation & Assurance Function on a permanent full-time basis. Join the team and prepare and oversee the development of regulatory submissions and policy positions related to regulatory change and in support/alignment of Western Power’s strategic objectives.
Your Role in Action
- Develop comprehensive change management plans to operationalise regulatory change.
- Interpret and analyse the potential impacts of these regulatory change on Western Power and the broader industry.
- Monitor the regulatory environment for upcoming and active consultations and keep internal stakeholders abreast of potential impacts.
- Undertake change impact assessments with impacted stakeholders to determine the scope of the regulatory change and its impact on the business.
- Manage change outcomes - Deliver against change management plans including communications, stakeholder engagement, education, and training, embedding, and sustaining change.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and communications – Work with stakeholders to establish and manage expectations and ensure plans are developed and implemented to achieve effective engagement and communication with all affected parties throughout implementation and operationalisation.
- Embed change - Design, develop and implement an ongoing support plan to embed the desired change, ensuring appropriate support is provided after implementation.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Extensive knowledge gained through significant experience in a regulatory environment or the Wholesale Energy Market, combined with professional or academic and / or post graduate qualifications.
- Proven analytical, conceptual, and innovative problem-solving skills in or able to be applied in a regulated business.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, facilitation, and organisational skills
- Strong focus on meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
- Experience working directly with key business stakeholders, including management at all levels in or able to be applied in a regulated business
- Extensive knowledge and expertise with demonstrated experience in a change management discipline
- Advanced knowledge of Change Management approaches, principles, methodologies, and tools e.g. PROSCI.
- Demonstrated success in delivering agreed outcomes in program-based change management including design, development & implementation of change plans and application of interventions for complex change issues within a dynamic environment
- Professional qualifications in Change Management (e.g. PROSCI accreditation) or other relevant qualification (e.g. Strategic Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, etc)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Economics, Public Policy, Commerce) or similar.
