Senior Resilience Business Continuity Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Resilience Business Continuity Specialist to join our team in the Perth office on a 2 year maximum term contract.
As the Senior Resilience Business Continuity Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic advice for the effective strengthening of resilience practices across Western Power.
This position involves providing expert consultation to Heads of Function, Area Managers, and key functional groups to establish, review, and enhance critical resilience strategies—including Crisis Management, Emergency Management, and Business Continuity Plans.
You will also lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive program aimed at improving Western Power’s capability to effectively respond to disruptive events.
Your Role in Action
- Provide advice and guidance to senior executive and management teams in relation to resilience and appropriate management strategies.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing review of the resilience frameworks and associated processes.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Enterprise Risk & Resilience area to ensure effective resilience.
- Contribute to successful outcomes in relation to projects where Enterprise Risk & Resilience provides a supporting role.
- Support and assist Enterprise Risk & Resilience Manager in the development and implementation of risk management and resilience initiatives, as required.
- Formulate direction and strategy to identify, manage and mitigate Western Power’s resilience exposures.
- Monitor and report on resilience activities and outcomes.
- Liaison with key internal stakeholders to improve resilience capabilities and strategies.
What Makes You a Great Fit
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Legal, Engineering, Risk Management, or other relevant academic degree
- Extensive and demonstrated 5-10 years experience in the provision of strategic advice and guidance to senior management on resilience related issues
- Extensive experience in the provision of strategic advice, project management and change management
- Experience in developing and delivering resilience education programs
- Experience in reporting and solutions
- Experience of development and implementation of business continuity plans and frameworks
- Experience in undertaking Business Impact Assessments
- Experience in undertaking risk assessments
