Senior Risk & Resilience Advisor
Strengthen Western Powers resilience by shaping and leading our business continuity and enterprise risk management capabilities.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive expertise in enterprise risk management, and exposure to Business Continuity Management (BCM) and resilience planning.
In this role, you will provide strategic advice to senior leaders, guide the development and maintenance of business continuity plans and ensure the organisation is prepared to respond effectively to disruptions. You will work closely with Heads of Function, Area Managers and key stakeholders to identify critical risks, lead continuity planning cycles and support major organisational initiatives requiring a strong continuity and resilience focus.
Your Role in Action
- Strategic Risk & Resilience Advisory:
Deliver high-level guidance to executives and managers on emerging risk exposures and effective mitigation strategies, ensuring the organisation maintains a strong resilience posture.
- Oversight of Business Continuity Management (BCM):
Provide expert advice on business continuity planning, ensure alignment with the BCM framework, providing oversight and ongoing review of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Business Impact Analyses (BIAs).
- Framework Implementation:
Lead the implementation, enhancement and continuous improvement of enterprise risk and BCM frameworks, ensuring they remain fit-for-purpose and compliant with organisational needs.
- Support Critical Projects:
Provide specialised BCM and resilience advice for major organisational improvement projects, ensuring continuity, crisis readiness and operational stability are embedded from inception.
- Contribute to Organisational Preparedness:
Assist the Enterprise Risk & Resilience Manager in shaping and delivering initiatives that strengthen organisational risk culture, crisis readiness and resilience capability.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Experience in Business Continuity and Resilience, including advising senior leaders on continuity planning and organisational preparedness.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic, high-quality guidance on enterprise risk and resilience issues.
- Solid stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and communicate effectively at all organisational levels.
- Strong initiative and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in continuity exercises, scenario planning and resilience program delivery (preferred)
- Experience in designing and delivering risk, continuity and resilience training programs (preferred).
- Understanding of project or change management practises.
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Risk Management, Legal, Engineering, or a related discipline.
