We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Risk & Resilience Specialist at the Perth CBD Office on a 24-month maximum term full-time basis.


About this role

 

As the Senior Risk & Resilience Specialist you will be required to provide strategic advice for the effective management of enterprise risk management and resilience across Western Power, including consultation with Heads of Function, Area Managers and Function groups.

 

  • Provide strategic direction and commercial advice in relation to developing and leading the implementation of an appropriate fit for purpose resilience governance model for Western Power.
  • Developing and implementing specific resilience response plans for differing disruptive events to minimise exposure and duration of events.
  • Provide advice and guidance to uplift identification of Business critical processes via a enterprise wide Business Impact Assessment.
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior executive and management teams in relation to risk and resilience exposures and appropriate management strategies.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Enterprise Risk & Resilience area to ensure effective management of enterprise risk and resilience.
  • Support and assist Enterprise Risk & Resilience Manager in the development and implementation of risk management and resilience initiatives, as required, including reporting to the Board & Audit and Risk Committee.


About you

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Legal, Engineering, Risk Management or other relevant academic degree
  • Extensive experience, at least 10 years, in the provision of strategic advice and guidance to senior management on risk and resilience related issues
  • Extensive experience in the provision of strategic risk advice, project management and change management
  • Experience in developing and delivering risk management and resilience education programs
  • Experience in establishing and facilitating enterprise risk management reporting and solutions
