We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior SCADA & Telecommunications Asset Strategy Engineer at Perth CBD Office, on a Permanent Full-Time basis.


About this role

 

As the Senior SCADA & Telecommunications Asset Strategy Engineer you will draw on your practical experience to apply best practice asset management strategies to deliver optimal life cycle performance of the assets within our SCADA and Telecommunications network.

 

Within this role you will:

  • Define and document best practice asset management standards through applying subject matter engineering expertise.
  • Contribute asset specific technical solutions, technical advice and problem solving regarding SCADA and Telecommunications Assets and Systems.
  • Conduct risk assessment, prepare asset strategies and support the development of asset management plans.
  • Prepare prudent and efficient work plans and routine business cases for capital expenditure and operations and maintenance expenditure.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve asset and works program performance objectives.
  • Analyse asset condition data for appropriateness and use that asset condition data to influence asset strategies.

About you 

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • B.Eng Degree – essential (Major in SCADA, Automation or Telecommunications is preferable)
  • Eligible for Professional Engineer membership (MIEAust) with Engineers Australia
  • Eligible for Certified Associate in Asset Management (CAAM) with the Asset Management Council
  • At least 10+ years extensive and broad asset management experience, with specialist knowledge of SCADA and/or Telecommunications
  • Advanced financial analysis skills
  • Able to work independently and results oriented
  • Change management and stakeholder management and engagement skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Constructive and supportive behaviour
