We’re looking for a Senior Strategic Planning Consultant to shape and strengthen our People Strategy and strategic people planning - connecting organisational goals with future workforce trends and enabling collaboration, insight and informed decision-making.

Your Role in Action
- Scan the horizon and shape the future - research external workforce, safety, policy and industry trends to inform and evolve the People Strategy with insight and foresight.
- Play a key role in shaping and refreshing the People Strategy, ensuring it remains aligned to organisational priorities and responsive to a changing environment.
- Lead business planning for the People Business Unit, aligning functions, integrating with corporate planning cycles and translating strategy into action.
- Track progress and measure impact, ensuring clear performance monitoring, meaningful reporting and visibility of outcomes.
- Facilitate high-impact workshops and forums, enabling cross-functional problem-solving, strategic alignment and initiative development.
- Partner across the organisation to identify strategic opportunities and co-design People plans that support business unit and enterprise priorities.
- Develop and present clear, compelling strategic advice, including executive papers, business cases and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Drive smarter planning through digital and data-led insights, championing the use of HR systems and analytics to strengthen decision-making and outcomes.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Strong experience in corporate or enterprise strategy function within a large, complex organisation, or a management consulting environment.
- Background in business analysis and external research, including assessing new opportunities and contributing to the development of business cases.
- Proven capability developing evidence-based strategies, using hypothesis-driven thinking supported by data, analysis and insight.
- Ability to make sense of complex information quickly, including legislation, policy, economic and market data, and translate it into practical advice.
- Clear, confident communicator and facilitator, with strong written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to bring data and insights to life for diverse audiences.
