Senior WHS Risk Specialist – Maximum Term Full Time / Perth CBD
We are seeking a Senior Work Health Safety Specialist on a 12-Month fixed term basis to provide expertise, advice, and guidance to senior executive and management teams in relation to work health and safety risk exposures and appropriate management mitigation strategies.
Your Role in Action
- Provide advice and guidance to senior executive and management teams in relation to management of work health and safety performance.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing review of risk management programs and associated processes.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance and support to relevant areas to ensure effective management of work health and safety risk.
- Contribute to successful outcomes in relation to projects where SEQT provides a supporting role.
- Support and assist the business in the development and implementation of work health and safety risk management initiatives, as required.
- Monitor and report on critical work health and safety risks that impact on Western Power to ensure continual improvement of work health and safety performance.
- Liaison with key internal stakeholders to develop appropriate risk treatment strategies.
- Formulate direction and strategy to identify, manage and mitigate Western Power’s work health and safety risk exposures.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Tertiary level qualification in Safety, Risk, or other relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in the provision of strategic advice and guidance to senior management on work health and safety risk and related issues.
- Extensive experience in the provision of work health and safety risk advice and management of change.
- Experience in developing and delivering risk management studies including facilitation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to think creatively and influence stakeholder, take initiative, plan, and execute complex projects
