Senior Workforce Specialist
Perth Office - CBD, WA, AU
We are seeking a Senior Workforce Specialist at our Balcatta Office, on a 12-month Maximum Term basis. This role will lead the development and implementation of proactive Safety, Health and Environment programs, providing insight and raising awareness to topical risks in order to support the business in delivering great safety, health, environment and quality performance through effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Your role in action
- Lead plan and manage strategic program of SHE projects and initiatives including but not limited to workforce safety, occupational health, and environmental preservation.
- Proactively Identify opportunities for improvement to minimise Safety Health and Environment risk/ loss.
- Influence improvements to standard designs, work instructions, data quality and asset information to improve the performance of the network and our workforce.
- Analyse workforce and network incident data and identify trends, leading to opportunities to improve workforce safety, occupational health issue, environmental performance, and public safety.
- Lead and/or facilitate development of topical awareness campaigns that specifically target identified areas of risk.
- Engage and support internal senior customers to ensure the successful implementation of workforce incident investigation recommendations and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide subject matter expertise to team members and internal business partners to ensure the quality of investigations, reports and recommendations are consistent with customer expectations.
- Deliver investigation findings and training, where required, to internal and external customers to improve public and operational safety.
- Facilitate/participate in Risk Assessments identified by the business to meet with our customer expectations.
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor degree qualification in Engineering, Safety, Environment, Business Management or related SHE discipline and/or Trade/technical qualifications in an electrical discipline for 10+ years relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience utilising the Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) of incident investigation.
- Strong communication, analytical and demonstrated report writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability in strategy planning and operational SHE strategy.
- Demonstrated effective people management and leadership skills and experience.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Ability to prioritise work and critically assess own performance.
- Participate in an On-call roster.
- Undertake occasional regional travel with overnight stays when required.
