Talent & Development Consultant

We’re looking for a Talent and Development Consultant to step into a 12-month fixed-term opportunity created by internal progression and make a real impact on our people and culture. If designing and facilitating learning that truly changes behaviour excites you, we want to hear from you. Identify capability gaps, craft impactful programs, and deliver learning that powers our Western Power People Strategy.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Design and deliver high-impact learning initiatives that respond directly to business and people needs
  • Diagnose capability gaps through meaningful training needs analysis at both individual and organisational levels
  • Create and implement engaging development programs that build confident leaders, strong teams, and capable professionals
  • Champion a culture of learning by promoting opportunities and energising leaders, HR Business Partners, and employees
  • Develop and facilitate workshops in-house, or partner with expert providers to deliver the best outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with HR and leaders to embed learning initiatives that stick, scale, and deliver real value

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and learning styles
  • Demonstrated experience in learning & development with a passion for building capability
  • Experience designing and delivering organisation-wide initiatives
  • Confidence partnering with stakeholders and navigating change to achieve shared outcomes
  • Coaching capability that supports growth, performance, and practical outcomes
  • A relevant qualification in Learning & Development preferably a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, Human Resources or a related field
