Application and Finance Officer – South Metro Depot - Permanent

 

The primary purpose of this position is to provide specialist, effective and efficient day to day customer finance administration for issuing quotes and receiving payment for works, liaising with internal and external stakeholders relating to these services and to provide excellent customer service. This will be achieved through, among others providing specialist advice in relation to the efficient processing of incoming customer works applications.

 

This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Quoting and invoicing across a variety of work types and regulation categories.
  • Understanding the formation of quotes in DQM and responding to customer and internal queries, including where this relates to the application of cost policy.
  • Processing customer applications for a variety of work types and customer types and consulting with these customers about the information in their application, including the location of assets, costs and timing of works.
  • Providing specialist technical advice in relation to the efficient validation of incoming customer works applications.
  • To coordinate and assist the team in the absence of the Formal Leader.
  • Ensure the most current and accurate information is available in the WADCM, WAPC and all other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that working procedures are always kept up to date.
  • Accurately and efficiently perform the validation of simple works applications, liaising with the applicant as needed, to ensure a fit for purpose scopes of work are defined, and applications are committed for delivery.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete quote, payment and invoice administration duties.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a focus on excellence in customer service including attending to external and internal customer enquiries received for simple applications, quotes, invoicing and payments. 

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

  • Completed Year 12 (or equivalent) with English and Mathematics subjects with preferably 4+ years’ experience, within preferably a financial management environment or similar.
  • Experience in high volume transactional environment preferably in Accounts payable / receivable or operations administration environment.
  • Experience in call Centre activities such as receiving and handling of customer enquiries.
  • Advances use of Microsoft Word, Excel and WPC systems such as Ellipse MIMS, DMS, Notes, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and implement service strategies and process improvement.
  • Customer focus with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise deadlines and work loads.
