Contract Assistant – 12 Month Contract – South Metro Depot

 

We are seeking a Contract Assistant for a 12 Month Max-Term opportunity based in our state-of-the-art South Metro Depot, Forrestdale.

 

As the Contract Assistant you will be required to facilitate the delivery of effective contract administration services to support the objectives of the business strategy, consistent with accepted commercial standards including timelines, quality, and scope and client satisfaction. To prepare contractual correspondence to contractors and suppliers (local, interstate and overseas).

Your Role in Action

 

  • Coordinate and support contractual administration requirements for contract and technical based work within the team.
  • Manage contract management filing systems and be able to manage the contracts document retention system.
  • Familiarisation with complex drawings of a technical nature.
  • Prepare contractual correspondence to contractors and suppliers (local, interstate and overseas) for related projects.
  • Have a working knowledge of the role of Superintendent, Superintendent Representative and Principal in the context of the Australian Standards and be proficient in providing technical support to them.
  • Manage and maintain all commercial and administrative contract records for related projects within a team.
  • Have a working knowledge of Contract Management Systems.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.
  • Support the team peers in respect to developing Contract documentation.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit

 

  • At least 4+ years’ experience in the commercial contract management and administration field.
  • Experience with financial management systems and contract payments including contract variations.
  • Contemporary filing systems and document management with emphasis on security and retention of contract documentation.
  • Maintaining a database and have the skills to produce reports as required.
  • Effective work management skills with the ability to implement corrective and proactive measures as required to ensure required service levels are met.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications Word, Excel and Access.  ERP and/or scheduling/work management systems.
  • Understanding and use of Project Management systems and tools.
