Fleet Maintenance Manager
Western Power is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to join our Property and Fleet Solutions team on a permanent basis, based at our South Metro Depot in Forrestdale. This is a rare opportunity to lead and inspire a team committed to delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused fleet maintenance services.
About the Role
- Lead Western Power’s dedicated Fleet Maintenance area of 80 staff across seven Fleet Workshops, overseeing Fleet Maintenance operations from Geraldton to Albany.
- Manage all aspects of Western Power’s Fleet Workshops, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance of heavy fleet vehicles, plant and equipment.
- Coordinate emergency breakdown and recovery services, supporting reliable fleet operations for all Western Power employees.
- Champion a collaborative, inclusive, and safety-driven workplace culture, modelling our company’s purpose, values, and objectives.
- Drive talent attraction, recognition, development, and succession planning to maintain a high-performing team and ensure business continuity.
- Contribute to strategic business planning, fleet requirements, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant State and Federal Government standards, business policies, standards and procedures
- Uphold the highest standards of fleet maintenance and customer service

Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Extensive leadership and operational experience in Fleet Workshop or Fleet Maintenance environments, ideally with a strong background in Heavy Fleet, Plant and Equipment.
- Proven commercial and business acumen.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and high-performing team culture.
