Operations Technical Officer - South East | Maximum Term Contract | South East Operations - WA
We have an exciting opportunity as an Operational Technical Officer for a 6 contract at either our Kondinin, Katanning or Narrogin Depots.
As the Operational Technical Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the team by being the central point for construction and maintenance advice across the transmission/distribution network. Ensure all team members have the correct training, coordinate external and local training, and manage tools and equipment to support safe, efficient field operations
Your Role in Action
- Conduct training courses and assess on-site training to support team capability and compliance.
- Prepare clear technical reports and procedures and assist leaders with incident investigations.
- Manage and maintain accurate, up-to-date registers for portable operational plant, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in workshops, working groups, and forums to provide operational input and help shape effective practices, policies, and procedures.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Must possess current trade qualifications – current Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing and/or Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead or Electrical Workers Licence.
- Preferably at least 6+ years specialist technical experience in networks construction, maintenance and operations field practices and procedures.
- Application of trade and post trade skills and competencies to suit local business requirements.
- Sound communications skills, both written and verbal that enable effective interaction between key stakeholders.
- Specialist technical experience and demonstrated knowledge in transmission and / or distribution network investigating, evaluating, and reporting.
- Willingness to work and travel to other depot locations, as required.
- Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’.
