Project Coordinator – South Metro Depot – Permanent Full-time

 

The Project Coordinator supports the delivery of Customer Network Connections across the planning, scoping and construction phases of the Approved Works Program by ensuring projects are efficiently planned, scheduled, and coordinated to meet time, cost, and customer expectations. The role focuses on program development, work allocation support, and active monitoring of RIS and key project milestones, while maintaining accurate project data and monitoring dashboards. Through proactive engagement with customers and stakeholders, close collaboration with SPDS, and timely coordination of customer submissions, the Project Coordinator plays a key role in achieving planning and scheduling KPIs and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

 

This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. Your Role in Action

 

  • Coordinate and maintain resource levelling in design and construction disciplines across projects in the CNC works program. Take accountability for CNC work allocation under the Customer Services Works Delivery Strategy.
  • Utilise financial and program reports to drive efficiencies within the Branches’ work program, specifically targeting management of spend with external design houses.
  • Provide oversight of external design work allocation ensuring probity and visibility while driving efficient utilisation of internal resources.
  • Manages works program to ensure contractor performance is in accordance with contractual, financial and operational requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the data required to reflect the progress of the Branches’ works program against set and agreed targets, ensuring that this is both valid and reliable.
  • Report on estimated vs. actual hours spent and charged to projects.
  • Complete regular analysis, identify issues and trends, conduct investigations into issues and anomalies and make recommendations on improvement initiatives around the Branches’ work programme.
  • Implement appropriate tools and techniques, including post completion reviews, project health checks and audits

 

What Makes You a Great Fit

 

  • Sound experience in a project office or project management environment with strong experience in scheduling tools, techniques and business analysis.
  • Demonstrable capability and experience in program and / or project support, planning, integration and communication in a utility industry or similar.
  • Strong experience in scheduling tools, techniques and business analysis.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Experience with Project Management software systems.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Competence in MS Excel and MS Project essential.
