Senior Construction Specialist – Permanent – South Metro Depot
This Senior Construction Specialist will be accountable for the effective delivery of complex fit for purpose construction programs of work that meet the needs of internal and/or external customers. This will be achieved through ensuring that these are commercially competitive and comply with all required standards for safety, environment and building codes and are delivered with costs, efficiencies, timeframes, quality and scope.
This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Your Role in Action

Support the relevant Area accountable for the delivery of these programs through providing subject matter expertise, advice and guidance.

Manage and oversee all financial aspects of the program of work to ensure tight control of budgets including forecasting and reporting requirements.

Manage the investment approval process required to support works delivery.

Proactively manage risk and compliance to ensure the works program achieves successful outcomes.

Ensure appropriate tools and methodologies are used to deliver projects that comply with company process and policy.

Program and deliver multiple concurrent works activities to agreed criteria.

Develop a program of work that reflects the priorities and needs of the business and balances priorities with constraints to ensure optimal outcomes.

Manage resources to achieve successful outcomes.
What Makes You a Great Fit
-
Tertiary qualifications in civil and/or structural engineering, quantity surveying or equivalent trade qualifications.

Qualifications (Certificate/Diploma/Masters) in Construction Management and/or Project Management.

Five plus years’ experience in a senior role in construction project/program management and/or facilities management.

Extensive broad and demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the suite of Australian Standard Construction contracts in a Contract Management role.

Demonstrated project/program management experience on logistically complex projects.

Experience in a leadership role, delegating responsibility, coaching and guiding to achieve positive outcomes and a positive team environment.

Proven extensive client side project/program management experience with construction and/or maintenance programs.

Proven experience working through each phase of the project lifecycle; from concept to execution and closeout.
