We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Project Delivery Specialist for a unique 12-month opportunity within our Operational Maintenance team. This role will report to the Governance & Reporting Team Leader within the Business Assurance Area and be accountable to undertake a feasibility investigation aimed at optimising resource allocation to improve fault response times and service reliability across the network.
This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Your Role in Action

Feasibility Study and Analysis:
Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to undertake in-depth analysis to investigate the relationships and trends across a number of factors that influence and impact Customer Minutes Lost (CML) across the network.

Operational Resource Evaluation:
Conduct a thorough assessment to determine the logistics and resource solutions required to implement an innovative, efficient and effective resource deployment solution. This includes:

Evaluating infrastructure investment needs (building or leasing regional sites for stable accommodation of response teams).

Identifying necessary investments in technology and vehicles to enhance fault detection and resolution.

Community and Infrastructure Considerations:
Investigate community investments, such as local housing or facility development, that could provide long-term accommodation solutions for teams working in remote locations.

Remote Working & Remuneration Solutions:
Develop and assess options for remote working benefits and remuneration, ensuring they align with EBA guidelines and provide appropriate support for those working in remote locations.

Roster and Workforce Planning:
Consult with HR to design an efficient roster proposal for regional camps, ensuring the workforce is optimally scheduled and prepared to meet operational needs.

Business Case Development:
Prepare a comprehensive business case that outlines the scope of work, resource strategy alternatives, benefits and cost management options aimed at improving CML scores while managing overall project costs.
What Makes You a Great Fit

Proven experience in project delivery, ideally in Operations or resource optimisation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key drivers affecting fault response times.

Experience in working with operational teams to assess and implement logistical solutions.

Knowledge of infrastructure investment, including technology, vehicles, and accommodation solutions.

Understanding of EBA and HR processes, particularly related to remote working arrangements and rostering.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate with multiple functions, including Network Operations, HR, Property & Fleet and Operational Maintenance.

Business Case writing and understanding of the Investment Governance Framework.
