Calibration Technician

Join our Metering Assets & Solutions team as a Calibration Technician! In this role, you'll be responsible for performing complex calibrations on electrical test equipment, ensuring precision and accuracy in every task. Your Role in Action  

 

  • Develop expertise to become a signatory for all test classes under the Electrical Standards Laboratory’s third-party accreditation.
  • Always ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Identify and implement significant improvements in the Electrical Standards Laboratory, Metering Provision, and Metering Services operations.
  • Maintain and adhere to the Quality System requirements for third-party accreditation.
  • Program and control complex electronic measurement equipment, analysing recorded data.
  • Utilize statistical analysis to provide accurate measurement uncertainty estimations.
  • Evaluate and test new electrical test equipment to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Prepare, develop, and update calibration procedures for complex test equipment.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Certificate IV in Electronics or Performance Testing
  • Proven commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Previous experience in measurement and testing, electrical instrumentation, or a laboratory setting
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and interpret technical information to develop effective solutions
  • Strong skills in statistical analysis
  • Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of work
