Contract Delivery Specialist - Permanent Full Time / South Metro Depot Forrestfield 

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Contract Delivery Specialist in the Proactive Streetlights Program team.

 

The Proactive Streetlights Program team is newly established to deliver the 10-year LED luminaire upgrade project. This team comprises project and contract professionals working collaboratively to deliver successful outcomes. As the Contracts Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of proposals, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts to drive efficiencies and improvements across a supplier base to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the relevant programs of work.

 

This position also participates in contract implementation activities following award, and ongoing contract administration which defines, implements, and monitors interface procedures in line with Western Power’s Contract Management Framework.

 

This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. Your Role in Action  

 

  • Manage, under the guidance of the relevant formal leader, the contract issues surrounding HSE, materials and performance with Suppliers in order to facilitate smooth delivery of the work program.
  • Administer contracts / agreements – Administering 3rd party and outsourcing agreements in line with Western Power’s Contract Management Framework.
  • Ensure that work completed is validated in accordance to the contract conditions and requirements.
  • Manage the sourcing process for established Deeds, review documentation and ensure all requirements are captured and updated in the system.
  • Manage workforce – Manage administration requirements to ensure the Suppliers work force is appropriately accredited to perform assigned functions.
  • Provide performance monitoring – Facilitate, under the guidance of the relevant formal leader, monthly performance and delivery meetings with Suppliers on performance against the contracts.
  • Ensuring the services provided are consistent with commercially competitive standards for safety, quality, service delivery, and cost and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to, and support the safety, health, environmental & community programs.
  • Managing own performance and improving personal effectiveness
  • Coordinate and support material and contractual requirements across other workgroups.
  • Prepare and distribute Contract and Materials Management Progress reports.
  • As necessary prepare the contract templates based on the contract & provide amendments to the original contract.
  • Ensure all notices are issued in line with the Contractual requirements.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Degree or equivalent in Business, Law, or Commerce or relevant and demonstrated extensive industry experience of at least 8 to 10 years
  • Sound knowledge and proven understanding of contract management principles with at least 4 to 5 years contract management experience
  • Ability to show guidance, communication effectively, have good interpersonal skills, complimented by influencing/negotiation skills
  • Ability to implement change and innovation, internally and via contract arrangements
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within a corporate environment
  • Ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law
