Contract Manager – Permanent – Full time / South Metro Depot Forrestdale WA

 

We are seeking a Contract Manager to oversee and drive the performance of complex, high-value contracts, ensuring their successful delivery in alignment with Western Power's Contract Management Framework. This role is accountable for meeting contractual requirements across safety, quality, cost, time, deliverables, and customer satisfaction.

 

This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.

 

As a subject matter expert, you will provide strategic advice and guidance on contract management, ensuring robust frameworks and practices are applied to achieve optimal outcomes. If you are passionate about contract excellence and delivering value, we want to hear from you! 

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Effectively manage the relationship between Western Power and the Contractors to ensure alignment of business objectives and outcomes. 
  • Accountable for driving the overall performance of assigned complex / high value contracts and for providing subject matter expert contract advice and guidance.
  • To ensure that all contracts are managed in-line with Western Power’s Contract Management Framework for the entire contract lifecycle, inclusive of the Procurement Policy and the Contract Management Standard.
  • Build and support effective contract management teams.
  • Complete reporting and stakeholder management for contract remit.
  • Develop and/or review key contract documentation, including the contract management plan, SHE risk register, scope of work, specifications, and pricing schedules
  • Verify and certify contractor claims.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Degree or equivalent in Business, Law or Commerce 
  • Contract Management Qualification
  • Broad and extensive knowledge and expertise and proven understanding of contract management 
  • At least 10 + years significant contract management experience including high value / highly complex contracts
  • Have strong working knowledge of and the ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, complimented by influencing/negotiation skills
  • Strong experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and managing public and stakeholder relations.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within a corporate environment
