Distribution Delivery Manager – Permanent Full Time / South Metro Depot (Forrestdale WA)
We are seeking a dynamic leader to manage a technically skilled and safe workforce in the scoping, planning, and delivery of customer network connection projects. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the overall commercial customer service and satisfaction, while optimising processes to deliver maximum value at the lowest cost to Western Power.
Key responsibilities include ensuring the safe delivery of customer projects and meeting the core objectives of safety, reliability, and affordability. As a leader, you will set clear expectations, drive accountability, and ensure successful outcomes for the team and the business.
This position is ideal for someone who excels in leading teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering high-quality results in a customer-focused environment.
Your Role in Action
- Manage the safe delivery of the distribution works program for customer connection services.
- Responsible for the overall commercial customer service and satisfaction; ensuring the supporting processes are optimised and provide the most value to the customer at the lowest possible cost for Western Powert.
- Make sure that all employees are trained and competent for the work they are assigned to carry out.
- Identify areas of safety exposure, recommend, develop and strategies to minimise exposure.
- Work closely with representatives from SEQT to ensure safety investigations are reviewed and outcomes approved in a timely manner.
- Role model Western Power’s values and ensure area activities support our strategic initiatives.
- Develop effective working relationships with the other Area Managers in Network Connection Services to ensure alignment and consistency of workflow, management practices and processes.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Engineering, or related discipline or significant relevant experience.
- Extensive / broad knowledge of program and project management within a customer service / operational environment or related area.
- Strong knowledge of operations, preferably, a distribution and/or transmission business, with demonstrated experience in providing effective project management of field works.
- Strong experience of planning, organising, and integrating resources, budgetary and work program planning, resource management, communication and quality assurance.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to build effective partnerships within own area and across the organisation.
- Experience in developing and maintaining a safe working environment
- Strong organisation and time management abilities to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of budgeting/finance systems including monitoring and control
