Field Supervisor Operations East - Planned - Permament - South Metro Depot
As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily supervision and coordination of operational field crews in conducting planned and unplanned network activities to ensures all assigned field-based work is completed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.
This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Your Role in Action
- Coach safety representatives, prepare and present safety meetings and practice safe work principles
- Maintain awareness of staff competencies through network compliance
- Take accountability for safety in the work environment for yourself and others by ensuring the teams and contractors follow safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment that is monitored through an onsite presence
- Ensure workers have required competencies to perform the tasks
- Have an intimate knowledge of how operational field-based work is performed similar to that of field crews, particularly in complex and time sensitive work activities or where operational needs required it
- Ensure prompt attendance of crew members to faults and isolate the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimise customer impact
- Responsible for hiring, assigning, and monitoring workload; determining work priorities; training; and performance management
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Relevant and current trade-based qualification in a discipline such as - Electrical Fitter / Mechanic Certificate 3, Trade Certificate or Distribution / Transmission Overhead or Certificate 3 Distribution Cable Jointer or equivalent
- At least 10 to 12 years demonstrated, extensive and broad technical experience in networks or transmission/distribution industry, including appropriate licenses or certificates of competency
- Highly developed teamwork and customer focus skills
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation and execution of operation plans
- Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’
