We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Metering Officer at our South Metro Depot on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

 

About this role

 

As the Metering Officer you will be required to perform metering field activities, ensuring 100% accuracy of metering installations, and full compliance with all Metering Services Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

 

Follows and adhered those standard policies and requirements for metering equipment and associated metering solutions. This will guarantee safe work practices and quality of service to the community.

 

About you 

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • A" Grade Electrical Workers Licence (essential)
  • Possess Cert III (ESI Distribution / Transmission Overhead / Power Systems Distribution Cable Jointing) and/or Electrical Trade Certificate and hold a current WA Electrical Workers License.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Metering Officer or related discipline. Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency in accordance with the Energy Safety Act 2006.
  • Advanced and sound experience in the fields of measurement, communications, electrical instrumentation and power metering
  • High Voltage (HV) Low Voltage (LV) and Time of Use metering.
  • Computer programming (meter software) related to the commissioning and testing of the above meter types
  • Different Communications equipment and technology (GPRS, DLC, TCP/IP, PSTN, Radio, Satellite Communications etc.)
  • Sound understanding of metering processes and procedures, Metering Standards and Metering Code
  • Sound knowledge of enterprise systems such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Visio) email systems etc.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety requirements
