Project Manager – 12-Month Maximum Term Contract / South Metro Depot Forrestdale WA
We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to take accountability for the successful delivery of projects that meet agreed criteria, balancing safety, cost, timeliness, quality, and scope to exceed customer and stakeholder expectations. In this role, you will manage and deliver moderately complex and highly visible projects with reputational impact, ensuring they are executed to the highest standard.
This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
As a Project Manager, you will drive cost-effective solutions aligned with customer requirements and organizational goals. You will collaborate with stakeholders, navigate challenges, and maintain a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes while fostering trust and satisfaction. Your Role in Action

Delivering projects to the agreed scope, schedule, and budget whilst ensuring safety and quality

Execute all projects according to Western Powers Project Methodology, Standards, Processes and Governance framework

Ensure project financials are managed, maintained, forecasted and can be reported upon in terms of Capex and Opex

Report on the status of assigned projects proactively and on an ongoing basis to key stakeholders.

Build and support effective project teams and co-ordinate and manage the work of the project team through up-to-date resource plans and project schedules.

Work effectively with stakeholders, including customers.

Identify and actively manage project assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies associated with delivery ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are established and actively managed

Ensure project and quality assurance controls and gate checks are undertaken to minimise risk to safety, quality, delivery, and costs.
What Makes You a Great Fit

Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management or relevant discipline

Industry accreditation in project management, either PMBOK®, Prince2™, MSP™ or RegPM.

At least 4 years’ demonstrated experience managing and delivering projects utilising industry standard project methodology such as PMBOK or Prince2

A successful record of delivering projects within a constrained timeframe

Knowledge of Project Management methods, tools and systems

Ability to plan, estimate, and budget projects of moderate complexity

Experience in project/program planning, data management, integration and communication in relevant industries
