Project Support Officer - South Metro Depot (Forrestdale WA)

 

As the Project Support Officer within the Enablement team, you will be required to provide support to the operational maintenance area by undertaking a broad range of administrative duties and general support activities.

 

Your Role in Action   

 

  • Working as part of the Enablement team to deliver a portfolio of projects across the WP network including UG, Rail, Vegetation and Civil categories. 

  • Capturing the required scope of work to enable project RFQ, award and close out utilising a panel of external contractors. 

  • Attend site visits and meetings with WP depots and contractors, including minute taking. 

  • Ariba Purchasing within WP guidelines and appropriate DFA. 

  • Support identified permit requirements (i.e. Rail/Environmental/Third Party), including providing desktop analysis and data for both planned and priority works. 

  • Entry and management of permits including actions within the Guardian management system. 

  • Capture, submit and track Noise Management Plan (NMP) applications as per the approved process, including management of NMP customer mailouts and submission of payment requirements. 

  • Internal/external stakeholder, contractor liaison and management. 

  • Building cohesion, commitment, morale and continuous improvement within the team. 

  • Ensure that all program documentation is completed and saved appropriately. 

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit  

 

  • Completed Year 12 (or equivalent) with English and Mathematics subjects with preferably 4 + years’ experience within a project management environment or similar 

  • At least 4+ years demonstrable, effective administrative, organisational, prioritising, planning, and coordinating skills preferably within a project, planning and / or scheduling environment 

  • Experience with MS Office suite – preferably intermediate expertise in Microsoft applications inclusive of Microsoft Projects 

  • Strong customer focus, stakeholder management, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Knowledge of procurement, scheduling, and contract / cost control activities   

  • Capable of developing and working with complex spreadsheets 

  • Proven personal effectiveness with business acumen 

  • Intermediate experience of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
