Team Coordinator - Transmission Lines

As a Team Coordinator - Transmission Lines, you will be required to plan and take a lead role in coordinating onsite work activities enabling teams to construct and maintain the transmission electricity network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner to ensure an uninterrupted supply to customers.
This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters. With the latest infrastructure and technology, the depot empowers all employees to create that perfect work-life balance whilst operating in an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Your Role in Action
- Be responsible for ensuring that the teams are meeting the required performance each day, in the completion of work and maintain open communication with team members and stakeholders
- Ensure prompt attendance to faults and isolate the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimise customer impact.
- Be responsible for safety in the work environment and ensure safe work practises are followed and a safe work environment maintained.
- Execute programmed construction and maintenance work to ensure safe, reliable and affordable operation of the network. Comply with Western Power’s WRAP’s and permit procedures.
- Demonstrate as a role model, personal behaviours in line with business values, codes, standards, and expectations
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems Distribution / Transmission Overhead OR Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems Distribution Cable Jointing
- Valid WA ‘C/HR’ Class Drivers Licence (subject to business requirements)
- Relevant Network Authorisation including Construction industry white card and Basic Emergency Life Support (within the first month of employment)
- Training in and performance of Q1 and Q2 competencies as per local business requirements, including maintaining required TL switching Preferred
- Front Line Management units:
- Implement Operational Plan (BSBMGT402)
- Lead Team Effectiveness (BSBLDR403 )
- Lead effective workplace relationships (BSBLDR402)
- Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements (BSBWHS401).
