We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Scheduling Specialist, on a permanent full-time basis.

 

This role is based at our brand-new state-of-the-art South Metro Depot in Forrestdale, conveniently located next to Tonkin Highway. Spanning across 120,000 square meters, the depot offers an excellent on-site café, end of trip facilities including secure bicycle storage and freshening up rooms. About this role

 

As the Technical Scheduling Specialist, you will be required to prepare, plan and coordinate complex work schedules / design packages within applicable budget and time constraints for project, maintenance and customer design requested distribution project activities.

The position will be responsible for the creation of relevant team/resource execution packages inclusive of work breakdown structures and Gantt charts, to enable the scheduler to schedule all relevant work included in the package via the scheduling tool.


About you 

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Relevant tertiary or Trade based qualifications with electrical background preferred
  • Sound Distribution and/or Transmission or Dx Design experiences with a sound knowledge of the entire network and assets and the requirements for scoping and scheduling work
  • In depth knowledge of Distribution Network assets and construction or design work practices
  • Experience with Western Power or equivalent management systems DQM, Cognos, Ellipse, WSMS, Spidaweb, etc.
  • Strong communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills. Complimented by a desire to develop influencing/negotiation skills
  • Ability to organise people and resources toward the effective and efficient pursuit of predetermined goals and objectives both operationally and strategically
  • A desire to implement change and innovation, internally and via contract arrangements
  • Strong experience with Microsoft office suite and project management systems are essential
