We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated mechanics to join our teams at the Kewdale, Albany, and South Metro Depots.
Your Role in Action
Kewdale Depot:
At our Kewdale depot, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of Western Power's mobile plant equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Repairing, stripping down, and rebuilding heavy machinery
- Conducting major overhauls to ensure optimal performance
- Maintaining equipment to meet both manufacturer specifications and Australian Standards, ensuring safety and reliability.
South Metro Depot – Forrestdale:
At our South Metro depot, you will focus on the repair, servicing, and maintenance of Western Power's heavy vehicle road transport and plant machinery. Your key tasks will include:
- Performing routine and major repairs on road transport vehicles and plant equipment
- Ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
Albany Depot:
At our Albany depot, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing Western Power's fleet of heavy vehicle road transport and plant machinery. Your role will include:
- Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on road transport vehicles and plant
- Ensuring all equipment is kept in peak working condition to support operations.
What Makes You a Great Fit

Base Trade qualification (AQF3) in Heavy Duty Mechanical applications – Heavy automotive / plant mechanical

Demonstrated industry experience as a Heavy vehicle / Mobile Plant Mechanic

Experienced in diagnosis and repair of hydraulics / low voltage electrical.

Highly developed teamwork skills – Must be able to work as part of a high performing team.

Valid WA ‘C’ class licence (essential)

Valid WA ‘HR’ Driver’s License (Desirable)

High Risk licence class EWP (Desirable)

High Risk licence class Dogging (Desirable)

High Risk licence class Forklift (Desirable)

Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Certificate classes HVW and LVW (willing to obtain with first 6-months)
